2/6/09 Denham

Set off from Geraldton about 9.15am. Ran into an old workmate Kaye at the lovely Sunset Beach Caravan Park - which, by the way, has no beach! Stopped at Billabong roadhouse to stretch our legs etc and change drivers. Then off to Hamelin Pool to have a look at the stromolites, which were alright if u like that sort of thing - load of nothing if u ask me, but then nobody did ask me did they? I did get my daily walk though and afterwards we stopped and had lunch. Nice and warm up here - time for shorts! Yeeha!! Then off to Denham. Staying at Shark Bay Caravan Park - bit of a shithole - the chalet is.....I have many names for it - donga, sea container - I'm sure u get the drift - it is a another pokey hole only not as good as the pokey hole at geraldton!! I guess u get what u pay for and this is what u get for $90 per night. Went down to Monkey Mia - lovely beach and calm waters - very idyllic - saw lots of dolphins just off the beach swimming around. We will be down there again tomorrow morning at 7.30am for the first feed - thats for the dolphins, not us!!! We have decided not to cook tonite( had a nice seafood linguine last night at geraldton with fresh farmed mulloway - beautiful) so we can have everything packed in the truck ready to go to Monkey Mia early. By the way, the truck is cruising beautifully, no troubles at all. For those followers who think I've waffled too much, too bad........the rum is going down very easily................Cheers!
