Yesterday we went to Malcolm Douglas' Wilderness Park. We went on the guided tour about 11am after first having a hold of a juvenile crocodile - with its jaws taped up. The guide really made the difference going around the park. It was very informative and he had lots of stories to tell as to how different crocodiles ended up there - usually from attacking or menacing people! Lots of other australian animals there including dingoes, wallabies, kangaroos, birds, lizards and snakes.
Afterwards went to Maccas for lunch. I love eating Maccas and I'm going to eat it all around Australia!!!
Did somemore window shopping in the afternoon and then at sunset we headed out for Cable Beach. The sunset there was absolutely glorious and there was quite a crowd watching it. We also saw the camels that do the sunset rides - they looked quite splendid (photo attached) - as I am not a fan of camels.
Today we went to Cable Beach for a swim. It is just the BEST beach. Nice and flat, firm sand, no nasty rips or undercurrents, the water is a lovely turquoise colour and the water temperature is a pleasant 22C. The air temperature was 30C and we rented a beach umbrella and chairs.
It was Blissorama!!!!
Tonight we are going to the Sun outdoor cinema to watch 'Angels and Demons'.
Tomorrow we must leave - headed for Kununurra, but as it is over 1000kms we will be having an overnight stop in Halls Creek.
